It seeks views on the uplift to standards of Part L of the Building Regulations and changes to Part F.

This uplift is the first step in achieving the Future Homes Standards, including proposed options to increase the energy efficiency requirements for new homes in 2020. The Future Homes Standard will require new build homes to be future-proofed with low carbon heating and world-leading levels of energy efficiency; it will be introduced by 2025.

This consultation from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government runs from 1 October 2019 to 7 February 2020.
