This consultation seeks views on changes to Part L (conservation of fuel and power) and Part F (ventilation) of the Building Regulations for non-domestic buildings and dwellings; and overheating in new residential buildings. It builds on the Future Homes Standard consultation and sets out proposals for a Future Buildings Standard, which provides a pathway to highly efficient non-domestic buildings which are zero carbon ready, better for the environment and fit for the future.

This consultation by the Ministry for Communities, Housing and Local Government (MHCLG) runs from 19 January to 13 April 2021. Find more information in the MHCLG news release.
