Birds are often one of the easiest animals to see around us. You can find out more about how to make bird feeders and watch or listen to birds. 

But have you ever tried calling birds to you?

Try making a “psssst” sound. This may attract some small birds, but you will need to try different rhythms.

This works best when you can hear and see the birds quite nearby, then, staying really still try saying “pssst….pssst….pssst” or “psst..psst…..psssst.”

If you are lucky curious birds will come closer to you – probably to work out what strange thing is making that noise!
