City centre car parks
St Mary's car park is a short stay, multi-storey car park with 577 spaces and step-free access to the town centre.See St Mary's on a map
The decision has been made to close the entrance lane to St Mary's car park only, from 10pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. The entrance lane will be reopened at 5am the following mornings. Vehicles will be able to exit the car park as normal at all times.
Opening hoursSt Mary's car park is open 24 hours Monday to Thursday and 5am-10pm Friday to Sunday, including public holidays.
The car park has 11 disabled parking bays and 8 Shopmobility bays.
Blue Badge holders have free parking for up to 3 hours in any bay (except LoveurCar bays), when displaying a Blue Badge with the clock set to the time of arrival.
Parent and child parking
There are 8 Parent and Child designated spaces in the car park.
MotorcylesParking for motorcyles is free when parked in the dedicated bays.
Parking bays for car sharers
There are 3 parking bays for those participating in the Loveurcar car share scheme. A permit is required to use these bays.

Pay with the MiPermit app
Debit or credit cardYou can enter your card into the payment machine, no PIN number is required.
You can also pay for parking contactless or with Apple Pay.
CoinsYou can pay for parking with coins. The machines do not accept notes.
Send an SMS (text) message or call to pay
If you are paying through SMS message, text the word 'PARK' followed by your registration number and the duration of your stay to 61600. For example: 'PARK T123EST 30mins' or 'PARK T123EST 2hrs'.
Alternatively, call 0345 520 7007 from your mobile. Calls cost the standard rate as set by your mobile provider.
The height restriction for this car park is 1.97m (6 foot 6 inches).
