Finding reliable, affordable tree care can be a challenge – but Colchester City Council is now making it easier than ever. For the first time, the council’s trusted Tree Services team is available to carry out private work for residents and businesses across the city.

Previously dedicated to public spaces and council-owned land, the council's Tree Services team – comprised of fully qualified and experienced arborists – is now extending its high-quality, professional services to private gardens, commercial properties, and community organisations.

From tree pruning, felling and crown reduction to advice on tree health and safety, residents can now benefit from trusted, competitively priced services backed by the reliability of the council.

Councillor Martin Goss, Portfolio Holder for Waste, Neighbourhoods and Leisure, said: “We’re proud of the excellent work our Tree Services team does across the city. By opening these services up to private clients, we’re offering residents and local businesses a trustworthy and skilled option for their tree care needs – while also generating income that supports vital public services.”

Residents can rest assured that all work will be fully insured and carried out to the highest environmental and safety standards, in line with national regulations.
