Helpline – providing that extra reassurance

Many of us have found it hard during the national lockdown restrictions not being able to see friends and family. However, it has also shown that we cannot be there all the time for our loved ones.

This is where Helpline, run by Colchester Amphora Trading, can provide that extra support and reassurance. The service’s friendly and caring team is on hand to ensure that older and vulnerable people living in Colchester and North Essex can get the help, advice and support they need at the touch of a button.

The service is currently relied on by more than 3,500 people across North Essex, with Helpline supporting those who have a physical disability, suffer from a chronic condition such as epilepsy or arthritis, are recovering from illness, or have recently left hospital.

Helpline also provides reassurance to those who live alone, are concerned for their personal safety and security, are prone to falls, or have a condition such as dementia.

For those who experience a fall in their home or garden, Helpline can send a first aid trained, dedicated response team to get them safely back on their feet or, if preferred, alert a loved one, GP or the emergency services.

To find out more, call 01206 769779 or visit the Helpline website.
