We know that some people may be okay now, but are worried about the long-term impact of the current cost of living crisis, help is available:
Costs in the home
Mortgage costs
If you are worried about your mortgage costs becoming unaffordable, speak to your mortgage provider as soon as possible. They may be able to offer help or mortgage holidays.
Energy costs
All energy providers have schemes to support those who are struggling with increasing costs. Speak to your provider as soon as possible to see if they can help to reduce your bills.
Water bills
Anglian Water offer a range of support schemes as well as tips and advice.
Employment and disability benefits support
Our Financial Equality Specialists offer help, advice and support to people who are disadvantaged, helping them move closer to a more stable income and secure future.
This includes:
- having a real face to face conversation to hear your story
- helping you to access relevant benefits to reduce financial and psychological strain
- providing personalised advice and support, tailored for your needs
- helping you to identify and remove barriers preventing you from taking up employment
- helping you to look for work and training opportunities
