Priorities Outcomes
Tackle the causes of inequality and support the most vulnerable people in Colchester whilst integrating and aligning with other partner resources
  • Working with partners and the voluntary sector to support those suffering from inequalities including refugees, marginalised and vulnerable groups
  • Ensure compliance with the public sector equalities duty
  • Lead, co-ordinating partners, the Community Safety Partnership (CSP) and Colchester Against Modern Slavery (CAMS) work programmes to deliver proactive prevention projects that are designed to reduce crime, enhance safety or improve safeguarding as priorities
  • Work with partners to develop Local Place Plans aimed at supporting people to live longer, healthier lives in their communities by improving the wider determinates of health
  • Financial equality and employment advice and support delivered enhancing opportunities for our most vulnerable residents
  • Fit For the Future Active & Wellbeing - Transformation of Sport and Leisure linking with the local delivery pilot
  • Empower our communities, increasing awareness of skills, capabilities and opportunities to enable more local control. Enable a 'Communities Can' approach (Asset Based Community Development) to increase self- sufficiency, prosperity and reduce inequality
