West Mersea has undertaken a significant amount of public consultation and stakeholder events have been held at various times.
Evidence gathering and initial drafting of topic papers has taken place which has informed a draft plan. It is now consulting on the draft neighbourhood plan. Following the completion of the consultation, it will review comments received, make any necessary amendments to the plan and then submit it to Colchester Borough Council in order that it can proceed to examination and referendum next year (~May 2021).
This consultation by the West Mersea Neighbourhood Plan Working Group runs from 23 October until 11 December 2020.
