The SMoTS sets out how Essex County Council (ECC) aims to effectively target and adopt different methods of successfully encouraging modal shift, by giving the people of Essex a better choice when it comes to travelling in and around the county.
The strategy also aims to facilitate the associated environmental, social and health benefits of better managed congestion. ECC has a statutory duty to publish a SMoTs annually. To support with this, the County Council is seeking selected organisations’ views on the draft Strategy document and the different elements and initiatives contained within it.
The consultation from Essex County Council ran from 6 October until 18 November 2020.
