It seeks views on proposals to strengthen the economic link condition to increase benefits of UK fishing quotas across the UK and, in particular, to coastal communities. It is consulting because the Government's 2018 Fisheries White Paper "Sustainable Fisheries for Future Generations" contained a commitment to review the economic link with a view to strengthening it.
This consultation by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs runs from 13 October until 10 November 2020.
