The Trinity School will open as a secondary school in September 2021, with a primary school opening on the shared site in 2024. The schools will be part of the Alpha Trust: a small multi-academy trust that consists of Colchester County High School for Girls, The Gilberd School, Manningtree High School and Home Farm Primary School. This consultation is part of the pre-opening process under Section 10 of the Academies Act 2010. The school at the Chesterwell site in Mile End is due to open in September 2021 and will initially share facilities with The Gilberd.
