UK National Data Strategy (NDS) consultation

The UK National Data Strategy (NDS) consultation

IN THIS ARTICLE

The consultation on the framework National Data Strategy (NDS) was launched to explore whether or not the strategy appropriately reflects the opportunities and challenges of our hyper-digital world and considers all relevant priorities, potential trade-offs and decisions. Building on the considered, evidence-based approach used in developing the NDS, the consultation seeks to ensure that the framework strategy has set the right overall direction and approach. It also seeks to ensure that the strategy’s missions, associated areas of focus, and policy proposals have received proper scrutiny and input.

The government’s response to the consultation, which will be published in early 2021, will be based on careful consideration of all submitted responses. Subject to the consultation’s findings, further consultation may be necessary on the details of any potential changes to current framework strategy.

This consultation from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport runs from 8 September until 2 December 2020.
