Review of consents for major energy infrastructure projects and Special Protection Areas

This is a consultation about the Review of consents for major energy infrastructure projects and Special Protection Areas.

IN THIS ARTICLE

When a new internationally designated conservation site such as a Special Protection Area is designated or updated, the competent authority is required to review decisions made regarding consents, permissions or other authorisations for all relevant plans or projects which are likely to have a significant effect on that site. The purpose of this consultation is to seek the views of all interested parties on a draft Screening of Likely Significant Effects report which assesses the likely significant effect of these consents upon relevant Special Protection Areas.

This consultation from the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy runs from 27 August until 9 October 2020.
