August 2020 Update:
The North Essex Authorities’ have agreed that the draft shared strategic Section 1 should continue with main modifications as suggested by the Inspector as per section 20 (7(c)) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act. The consultation documents consist of:
• Schedule of Proposed Main Modifications
• Associated Sustainability Appraisal
• Associated Habitats Regulation Assessment
A 6 week consultation on these proposed main modifications will be carried out starting on 24th August and ending at 5pm on the 6th October 2020. All relevant comments received during the consultation will be considered by the Planning Inspector. The documents and online response forms are available at
