New Town and Christ Church By-Election 23 October 2025

On Thursday 23 October 2025 there will be a by-election for a vacancy in the office of Colchester City Councillor for New Town and Christ Church.

This by-election follows the resignation of Pam Cox as a Colchester City Councillor.

Nominations

Candidate nomination packs are available from the Electoral Commission.

The nominations window opens at 10am on Friday 19 September 2025 and closes at 4pm on Friday 26 September 2025.

Nominations must be submitted by hand and by prior appointment. We recommend emailing a copy of your nomination to the elections office for an informal check before you submit it in person.
