Lexden Springs Local Nature Reserve Flora Survey

Join us in the meadows looking at the spring plants and wildflowers, including Pignut, Harebell and Devil's-bit Scabious. A natural spring rises to form an interesting pond and wet meadow area a hidden gem for wildlife.

Bring any field guides and ID books, you should wear appropriate footwear for rough ground. The event is weather dependant, you can call the High Woods Visitor Centre on
01206 853588 to check before the event that it is going ahead.

Location: Lexden Springs Local Nature Reserve (entrance off Spring Lane). CO4 3AN. TL972252, meet at the field gate within the site.

The Great Mini Beast Hunt and pond dipping – Salary Brook

Join the rangers for pond dipping and the Great Mini Beast Hunt, and discover some of the millions of creatures who call Salary Brook home. Swish through the long grass with our sweep nets or see what you can find in some of our ponds. We will show you all the best places to track down mini beasts.

Location: Salary Brook. Meet at the pond near the Buffett Way play area.

Woodland Crafts Drop-in Session – Welsh Wood

Come and join our woodland craft session in beautiful Welsh Wood. Learn how to use natural materials to make everything from a fidget spinner to your own wooden noughts and crosses set to take home.

Location: Welsh Wood.
