The Silver Line
The Silver Line is the only confidential, free helpline for older people across the UK, open every day and night of the year. You may call for a chat, to say good night or good morning to someone, or to tell someone how your day was. You may also call for information, seek advice, or share a concern.

Essex Befriends
Whether you are feeling lonely, isolated, stopped doing things you once loved or generally lack in confidence, Essex Befriends is here to help. It offers befriending services to people over 18 and who are carers, older people, those experiencing mental ill health or who have a learning disability.
They are currently making most of their contacts by phone, video call, email or text.
