Colchester City Council is providing support for residents facing the cost of living crisis.
The exciting plans propose to transform the disused site into a dynamic creative hub for Colchester’s thriving creative and digital industry.
This project builds on the existing work already completed in Queen Street and will ensure that Colchester stays at the forefront of this growing sector. Offering nine studio spaces, a café bar and potential for a digital hub, the workspace will ensure that Colchester’s talent has room to scale up its business. This development forms a significant piece of the creative and cultural project map in Colchester, strengthening the town’s reputation as a leader in these industries.Cllr Sue Lissimore sits down with Cllr Darius Laws and Adam Bryans, CEO at Southeast Local Economic Partnership, to chat about the creative and digital grow-on space development in Queen Street.
They discuss the development, why it’s so important for Colchester to invest in this sector and how it links to the wider Updating Colchester projects.
