The Council is trying to source more of its energy from renewables to reduce its environmental impact. A good example of this is the solar photovoltaic (PV) panels that were installed on the roof of Leisure World. The Council is also in the process of constructing an innovative low carbon heat network in collaboration with Colchester Amphora Energy Ltd (CAEL), an energy company wholly owned by the Council, for use in the new Northern Gateway development.
Don’t sacrifice comfort to save energy – contact the Warm Homes Project team who can advise you on ways to insulate your home effectively so you can save money and stay warm.
Colchester Borough Homes continues to deliver extensive programmes of works across Council’s facilities which have a focus on sustainability and reducing carbon emissions.
