  • Reason for the referral

  • Essex Fire and Rescue Services
  • General Practitioner

  • Social Services
  • Other mental health and social providers as required

The purpose and lawful basis for processing

The lawful bases for the processing of your personal data are as follows:-

Article 6, 1. (e) where processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller (public task).

Article 9, 2. (h) where processing is necessary for the provision of health or social care.

The Council has a requirement to process the above information in order to provide mental health support to residents within the district where necessary as identified by council officers undertaking their routine interventions. We only request the minimum amount of information and ensure that is it stored securely.

Length of time we keep your information

We retain information relating to Health and Housing Referral Scheme in line with the Council’s Retention Policy.

If you believe we are holding inaccurate information on your file, you do have the right to contact us and ask for your information to be amended or removed where there is no obligation or statutory requirement for it to be kept. You can exercise this right by contacting grantsandloans.support@colchester.gov.uk.
