The purpose and lawful basis for processing

The lawful basis for processing your information is transactional consent to provide a service to you.

Beauty Therapy at Aqua Springs requires the above information in order to provide a service to you. We only request the minimum amount of information and ensure that is it stored securely in iSalon and by relevant third party payment system providers.

CCTV cameras operate in and around the buildings.  Cameras do not operate in areas designated for undressing/changing clothes for your activity.

• Colchester City Council Community Safety Team (Section 9 of the Domestic Violence, Crime & Victims Act 2004)
• Salon Software Solutions Limited – our iSalon system provider
• Third Party Payment Providers – including but not limited to Gladstone Pay, Stripe, Verifone and Pay360

Length of time we keep your information

Your information will be kept on file for up to 4 years from your last visit to Beauty Therapy at Aqua Springs. However, you do have the right to contact us and ask for your information to be removed prior to that where there is no obligation or statutory requirement for it to be kept. You can exercise this right by contacting contact.leisureworld@colchester.gov.uk and giving your first name, surname and postcode.

Facebook and social media advertising

We run regular Facebook and other social media campaigns and by signing up you’re agreeing for us to hold your information for 6 months, or if you sign up for a Leisure Card for 4 years from the last visit or transaction at any Leisure World site including Aqua Springs Day Spa and the Colchester Sports Park at Northern Gateway. If you no longer wish to receive offers, information and incentives from us you can ask to have your information removed via the above email address.

Competition entries and prize draws

From time to time we run competition entries. We will hold your personal information for no longer than 28 days following the announcement of the competition winner(s), after which the information is made inaccessible to system users or securely destroyed.

If you win a competition, we may retain certain personal information (name, age and details of entry) for up to one year following the announcement of the competition winner(s), in order for us to process the competition prize. Any information you provide will only be used for purposes of facilitating the competition/prize draw and not for any other marketing purposes.

Special Event Expression of Interest

From time to time, we run special events where we ask for form(s) to be submitted to express interest in attending. Unless expressed otherwise on the form, we will hold your personal information for no longer than 28 days following the event date, after which the information is made inaccessible to system users or securely destroyed.
