MiPermit Discounts

MiPermit Discounts is an exciting new pilot scheme in Colchester town centre providing parking discounts.

The scheme is believed to be one of the first of its kind in the country and provides motorists with parking stay discounts every time they make a purchase participating town centre shops and businesses.

Participating shops and businesses include: We are working closely with Our Colchester (Colchester BID) on this scheme and thank them for their support.

How it works

  1. Park in any Colchester Borough Council-owned town centre car park and pay using the MiPermit app.
  2. Get the QR code in your MiPermit app scanned by a participating shop or business.
  3. A discount will automatically be applied to your parking stay.
Discounts at individual businesses vary between 50p, £1, £2 and £5 and with a maximum discount per stay currently set at £5. Some motorists could even end up with completely free parking in town, depending on which tariff they have bought.
