How to invite the Mayor to an event

To invite the Mayor to your event, complete the enquiry form. Your request will be sent to the Civic Officer who will respond as soon as possible. If you have not had a response to your request within 10 days, contact the Civic Officer by email or telephone (details above).

If you are unable to complete the enquiry form, email or write to the Mayor with:

• the name of your organisation
• your full contact details
• the details of your event (including but not limited to: type of event, dates, times, details of any duties you would like the Mayor to perform at the event).

The Civic Officer will respond to your request as soon as possible.

How to contact the Civic Officer

The Civic Officer maintains the Civic diary and deals with donations to the Mayor’s charities.

You can contact the Civic Officer, Gillian Belsham, on the contact details above. Alternatively, you can visit the Town Hall in person from Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm. Colchester City Council staff can work from multiple locations, so it cannot be guaranteed that named staff will be available when you visit.
