Set up a Direct Debit to make regular payments.
You can make payments on the 1st, 5th, 8th, 15th, 20th, 25th or 28th of each month. You can choose which date best suits you.
If you need to advise us of a change in payment date and instalments, email us at council.tax@colchester.gov.uk or call us on 01206 282300.

If you need to change your existing Direct Debit bank account details, you will need to complete a new Direct Debit form.
Complete a new Direct Debit formWe need a minimum of 12 working days prior to your next scheduled payment date to make this change, otherwise payment will be taken from the existing bank account. Any future payments will be taken from your new bank account.
Call our automated payments line on 01206 282725. You will need your Council Tax account number and your debit / credit card details.
You can make payments to the Council through your bank or banking app. Quote our bank details below and your Council Tax account number as a reference for the payment you are making.
