Zoo licence

A zoo licence is a legal permit required to operate a zoo in England and Wales, under the Zoo Licensing Act 1981. 

You need a license to display wild animals to the public for seven or more days a year.  The process involves public notice and an inspection. The licence is granted for an initial four years, then renewed for six years.
