Colchester City Council is calling on residents to share their views on the High Woods Country Park Visitor Centre as part of a new initiative to enhance the facility. The council is gathering input from the community to ensure that future improvements align with the needs and expectations of both regular visitors and those who have not yet used the Visitor Centre.
High Woods Country Park is one of Colchester’s most valued green spaces, offering a range of recreational, educational and conservation activities. The Visitor Centre plays a crucial role in supporting these activities, and the council wants to explore how the facility can better serve the local community. The primary goal of the survey is to understand how residents currently use the Visitor Centre and to identify areas for improvement.
The survey will be conducted over the coming weeks, with the findings used to inform plans for the Visitor Centre. The council encourages all residents to participate, emphasising that their feedback is essential to shaping a facility that meets the evolving needs of the community.
Councillor Martin Goss, Portfolio Holder for Waste, Neighbourhoods and Leisure, said: “High Woods Country Park is a cherished space for many Colchester residents. We want to ensure that the Visitor Centre continues to serve the needs of our community and enhances the overall experience for everyone who visits. This survey is a valuable opportunity for residents to have their say and help shape the future of one of our most important local assets.”
