Our annual outdoor events programme is packed with fun, educational activities for families and children.

Explore our countryside sites with the rangers and take part in den building, pond dipping, evening bat spotting and more. You can also find self-led family trails during the school holidays.

There’s plenty of space for the little ones to stretch their legs in the beautiful surroundings of Colchester's natural habitats.

Woodland Wreath Making Children’s Event
21 December 2021, 10.30am to 12.30pm
High Woods Country Park, meet outside the Visitor Centre
Join us in the woods for a morning of fun, making winter wreaths from natural material out in the woodland. This event takes place outdoors. Suitable for ages 4+.
Adults: Free
Children: £5.50


New Year's day walk - High Woods Country Park 
January 2021, 11am - 1pm

£5 per person
