Grant Schemes for EV Charging Infrastructure

The Government offers the following grants to support the wider use of electric and hybrid vehicles via the Office of Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV).

  1. The Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) provides grant funding of up to 75% towards the cost of installing electric vehicle chargepoints at domestic properties across the UK.
     
  2. The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a voucher-based scheme that provides support towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charge-points, for eligible businesses, charities and public sector organisations.  The scheme will open to applications from workplaces from 21 November 2016.  The application form will be published on the link below from this date.
     
  3. Chargepoint authorisation for manufacturers of electric vehicle charge-point units to apply for their charge-points to become authorised under the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) and Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS)
