The commitment to deliver the Environmental Sustainability Strategy and its actions, including implementation of a new carbon management plan and signing up to Climate Local, will ensure the Council maintains its position as a leading carbon cutting Council in the UK and help build more resilient communities.
Our public commitment to become a signatory of the LGA 'Climate Local' was signed by the Leader of the Council in September 2015 and this proceeds the signing of the Nottingham Declaration in 2008.
