Saturday Household Drop-Off Service

The Saturday Household Drop-Off Service is a neighbourhood service that allows you to drop off small loads of household items for us to take away.

Our Saturday Collections (household drop-off service) are currently suspended until further notice.

You can take your items to Essex County Council’s Recycling Centre at Shrub End. Please expect long queues. More information on current restrictions can be found at Love Essex.

Saturday Household Drop-Off Service

We provide a free household waste collection service on specific Saturdays during the summer months. This was previously known as the Saturday Freighter Service.

This service allows you to take your waste to a parked refuse freighter at a number of locations across the borough.

You can't throw away items that can be recycled but you can bring garden waste which will be composted.

We don't accept any of the following items:
