The Freedom of Information Act 2000 requires public authorities, like Colchester Borough Council, to adopt and maintain a publication scheme. These pages show what information will be routinely published by the Council.
Please also see the Council's DataShare tool for the information you require before making a formal Freedom of Information request. DataShare holds a range of council databases and information to view and download in accordance with the Local Government Transparency Code and other publication requirements.
Councils must publish details of each individual item of expenditure that exceeds £500, as part of the requirements of the Local Government Transparency Code. The code recommends that expenditure that exceeds £250 is also published, and details of this, since 31 December 2014, are available through our DataShare tool.
Data is published monthly and information that is exempt under Data Protection requirements has been removed.
