The Freedom of Information Act 2000 requires public authorities, like Colchester Borough Council, to adopt and maintain a publication scheme.  These pages show what information will be routinely published by the Council.

Council spending over £500

Councils must publish details of each individual item of expenditure that exceeds £500, as part of the requirements of the Local Government Transparency Code. The code recommends that expenditure that exceeds £250 is also published, and details of this, since 31 December 2014, is available on Datashare.
