Colchester Community Stadium opened in August 2008 and is a 10,000 seater venue offering a unique opportunity for the residents of Colchester, Essex and the East of England.

The Stadium is also home to the Eastern Enterprise Hub in Colchester.  The Eastern Enterprise Hub brings together business leaders, the public sector, educators and enterprise agencies with one aim - to help people from all walks of life to set up successful enterprises.

Standing alongside the A12 the impressive venue is now a new modern landmark for the whole town to visit, use and enjoy. Developed though the innovative partnership of Colchester Borough Council, Colchester United Football Club and former Colchester United Community Sports Trust, the venue provides a unique community and commercial complex for the Borough and the East of England, as well as a new home for Colchester United FC.

Alongside a loan secured by Colchester Borough Council other funding that helped to bring the project to life was received from the East of England Development Agency, the Department of Communities and Local Government and the Football Foundation's Football Stadia Improvement Fund.

Colchester Community Stadium is owned by the Council, the total construction cost was £15.4m of which Colchester Borough Council contributed £10m.
