Twelve Local Authorities in Essex (Basildon Borough Council, Braintree District Council, Brentwood Borough Council, Castle Point District Council, Chelmsford City Council, Colchester Borough Council, Maldon District Council, Rochford Borough Council, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, Tendring District Council, Thurrock Council and Uttlesford District Council) are working together on an Essex Coast Recreational disturbance Avoidance and Mitigation Strategy (RAMS) Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).
An Essex Coast RAMS Strategy Document has been prepared and this includes a technical report and mitigation strategy for how the Essex local authorities will avoid and mitigate the in-combination effects of increased recreational disturbance on Essex coast Habitats sites.
Consultation on the Essex Coast RAMS SPD took place from 10 January to 21 February 2020.
A You Said, We Did report has been prepared, which summarises and comments on all representations received.
