Colchester Sports Park, at Northern Gateway, has become a Quest Accredited site following an external audit this summer.
Quest is the sport and leisure industry's only recognised Quality Assurance Tool, recommended by Sport England for facility management, sports development and physical activity, and is designed to measure how effective organisations are at providing high-quality services.
Being a new facility, Colchester Sports Park has completed a Quest Entry Assessment, which means it is now an accredited site. Future audits will see it graded on the Quest 7 band grading system, with indications from the initial audit rating it as Very Good.
Cllr Martin Goss, Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhood Services and Waste, said: “Quest accreditation is the Sport and Leisure industry’s recognised barometer of success, so for Colchester Sports Park to now be an accredited site is fantastic!
“As one of Colchester’s newest state-of-the-art sport and leisure facilities, the aim has always been to provide amazing services and facilities to visitors, and it’s great to see this recognised in this way.”
