Colchester Borough Council’s Click and Collect service, which gives residents the opportunity to pick up replacement recycling containers at a time that suits them, has been expanded to include more local stockists.
The Click and Collect service successfully launched last month with two collection locations, West Mersea Town Council and Colchester Foodbank in Stanway. Two new stockists have now been added to the scheme: Kingsland Church and Langham Community Shop. The council will look to offer more pick-up locations over the coming months.
Residents can order replacement recycling containers:
- Green Box for cans or glass (must be separated)
- Food Caddy (kerbside and kitchen) for food waste
- Clear Bags for paper/cardboard or plastics (must be separated)
- Garden Sacks for those with a sack garden waste collection
Councillor Simon Crow, Colchester Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Environment and Sustainability, said: “I’m really pleased to hear the positive feedback from residents who have already used our new Click and Collect service for recycling containers. We will continue to work with partners across the borough to add more pick up locations to this service,
