Santa is making a special stop this December at Colchester Castle.
A trip to see Santa is one of the most popular things to do in the lead up to Christmas and tops most children’s wish lists, but if you haven’t booked your grotto visit yet then hurry, as spaces to see Santa at Colchester Castle are selling fast!
With the help of Santa’s elves, Colchester Castle will be transforming the stunning Lucas Vaults into a magical grotto ready for Santa to visit on the 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd December.
Visits cost £6.50 per child and will include a special gift. Children will also have an opportunity to whisper their Christmas dreams into a shell for the Castle’s Wishing Tree with the help of Santa’s elves.
Cllr Tim Young, Portfolio Holder for Business and Culture and Deputy Leader of the Council, said: “Visiting Santa is a great Christmas tradition. To make a great day out, why not combine a trip to Santa with a visit to the Castle as well? Anyone combining a visit will benefit from a 10% saving on normal Castle admission and a free Christmas activity trail to make the day extra special for the children.
“For the adults, enter the Castle’s prize-draw for the chance to win a VIP guided tour of the Castle’s new exhibition, which will be opening in July 2019.
“If you live locally, enquire about the Resident Pass which will entitle you to unlimited Castle entry for a whole year.”
Tickets are selling fast so don’t delay call the Castle on 01206 282939 to book.
