Swimming lesson pupil wins a pair of bikes worth £800!

Colchester resident, Finlay Brown, has won a pair of children’s bikes worth £800 as the lucky winner in Colchester Leisure World’s swimming lesson enrolment competition.

Each term those who enrol onto Leisure World’s Swim England Accredited lessons have had the chance to win some great prizes, with winners chosen at random. In December 2021, the first ever swimming lesson enrolment prize – an iPad bundle worth £690 – was won by a stage 3+ swim school pupil.

Finlay chose bikes for himself and his younger brother courtesy of Colchester’s Cycle Revolution, who supplied the bikes and helped promote the benefits of cycling for a lucky swimmer.

Cllr Adam Fox, Deputy Leader at Colchester Borough Council, said: “Our swimming lesson offer at Colchester Leisure World is one of the best around and it’s great to work with local business Cycle Revolution to be able to offer a prize that promotes a healthy and active lifestyle.

“Encouraging more children to come along, build their confidence and learn lifesaving skills is great, and being able to offer fantastic prizes to help that is just brilliant. Well done to Finlay – enjoy those bikes!”
