Leisure World Colchester is excited to announce a bumper programme of kids' activities and aquatic fun for the summer holidays.
Try something new this summer with Leisure World’s week-long Wet ‘n’ Wild courses – a taste of a different water sport every day. Grab a paddle and get started with canoeing, learn the basics of canoe handling in the safe and supporting environment and then a session on swimming personal survival and lifesaving skills.
They’ll splash right into diving, whether they have aspirations to follow in Tom Daley’s footsteps or simply just want to learn a new sport and impress their friends. A day of snorkelling will introduce new skills and help them get used to the equipment and they can try their hand at water polo, a sport that combines the shooting skills of handball, the ball handling skills of basketball or netball, and the speed and stamina of swimming.
Wet ‘n’ Wild sessions will be running Tuesday 31 July to Friday 3 August (4 Sessions £20) or Monday 6 to Friday 10 August (5 sessions £25), 9.15-10am. Suitable for children 7+ years who can swim at least 10 metres on their front and back. Advance booking is essential by calling 01206 282000.

At Kids Camp, children in primary school years 1-to-6 can leap into action every weekday of the school holidays. With swimming, arts and crafts, dodgeball, badminton, short tennis, football games and treasure hunts, they'll never have a dull moment. The day includes lunch and is a great option for flexible childcare: you can drop your kid(s) off from 9am-3pm for £26, or give them a full day of excitement from 8am-5.30pm for just £31.
High-schoolers can make the most of their holidays too with Base Camp. Each full day of fun from 8am-5.30pm includes swimming, games and other activities. Prices start from just £31, including lunch, and some days feature trips to the cinema and Tenpin!
SPECIAL EARLY BIRD OFFER: Book either Kids Camp or Base Camp up to and including 1 July to get an extra discount, paying just £20 9am-3pm or £25 8am-5.30pm.
There are trampolining sessions on Tuesdays 31 July and 14 August at 11.30am and 12.30pm. Perfect for kids aged 3-11 years where they can jump to their heart's content while learning some basic moves at just £6 per child.

As if that's not enough, the Leisure Pool is also open every day during the summer break, along with exciting flumes and outdoor rapids and our floating inflatable fun run sessions are the ideal way to keep the kids entertained and there’s no need to book – just turn up.
Aqua Fun sessions are ideal for kids who enjoy swimming, they’ll take on the challenge of the inflatable floating fun run – an exciting watery obstacle course to run, slide, jump and climb through. Younger children who are non-swimmers or beginners can enjoy Aqua Splat sessions. With an inflatable submarine in the teaching pool, under-fives can burn off energy and make new friends while they play.
