Colchester Borough Council is monitoring the situation closely and will continue to take action to minimise disruption and keep residents and visitors safe.
Coronavirus: updates, advice and guidance
If you’re looking for some fun and inspiring activities to keep your family occupied this February half term, look no further than Colchester Museums.
A range of hands-on events are planned across the three sites – Colchester Castle, Hollytrees Museum and the Natural History Museum.
There’s the chance to get creative with Valentine’s cards, prepare for battle with fun hands-on archery sessions and to have some very special animal encounter moments!
Cllr Tim Young, Portfolio Holder for Business and Culture and Deputy Leader of the Council said: “February half term is the first school holiday of the year and Colchester Museums has a fantastic programme of events to keep the children occupied. All the activities enable children to learn about life in the past by focusing on hands-on fun, just make sure you duck to avoid the flying arrows!
“For those who live in the borough, make sure you ask about Colchester Castle’s Resident Pass which enables you to visit the Castle as many times as you like during a year after paying entry just once.”
