Colchester Museums are thrilled to announce that they have been shortlisted for a prestigious Hoop Award in the Best Holiday Activities category.

Hoop is a valuable website resource for busy families that makes it easy to find and book activities to keep children occupied, from new-born to age 11.

Cllr Tim Young, Portfolio Holder for Business and Culture and Deputy Leader of the Council, said: “This is tremendous news that Colchester Museums have been recognised in this way. The museums team run a wide variety of hands-on, fun-packed children’s holiday activities throughout the year, across all three of its museum sites at Colchester Castle, Hollytrees Museum and the Natural History Museum.

“I would urge as many people as possible to support Colchester Museums by heading online to https://hoop.co.uk/2019-hoop-awards/ and voting for us to win!

“Activity programmes, such as these, help preserve our heritage for future generations to come and make a Better Colchester for all our residents and visitors.”
