The annual clear recycling bag delivery across Colchester will be starting from Monday 19 April. Each of the 75,000 households that receives a kerbside recycling collection will receive one roll of 62 clear bags for recycling paper and plastics.
At the same time, Colchester Borough Council’s crews will also be delivering a roll of the new blue textile recycling bags on behalf of Essex Textiles. Residents will receive one roll of eight bags and a ‘Guide to Textile Recycling’ leaflet. Extra bags can be ordered from Essex Textiles throughout the year. Textile recycling restarts from 26 April, on a Blue Week on a residents’ normal collection day. More information can be found here.
The roll of clear and blue bags will be delivered between Monday 19 April and Friday 7 May. Residents are asked to note that the bags may not be delivered on their normal collection day.
