Colchester to host Climate & Migration Community Film Festival

PUBLISHED: 21 November 2025

Colchester is set to host an afternoon event of films exploring the intersection of climate change and migration on 26 November.

Funded and licensed by the City of Sanctuary, this event is being held as part of the Our Shared Futures: Climate & Migration Community Film Festival, in partnership with Counterpoints Arts, Earth Refuge, and the Climate & Migrant Justice Organising Group.

The event will showcase two feature films in Colchester City Church at 20-23 Priory Walk, CO1 1LG, on 26 November. Tickets are free, and everyone is welcome.

Councillor Jocelyn Law, Portfolio Holder for Communities and Public Protection, said: “These films highlight the human reality of climate change and displacement. As tickets are free, I strongly encourage everyone to come and use this afternoon to inform themselves and participate in the wider conversation about how we can best support those affected.”

At 1:00 pm we are showing Thank You For The Rain, and UTAMA at 3:30 pm. Reserve your free ticket now at:
