Since opening its doors three years ago, Colchester Sports Park has become a hub of activity for fitness enthusiasts, families, community sports groups and individuals.
Cllr David King, Leader of Colchester City Council, said: “We're incredibly proud to celebrate three years of providing health and wellbeing facilities to the Colchester community and beyond. We offer accessible and inclusive opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to stay active and healthy and would love to invite everyone to join us on the 26 April to take advantage of this special offer and experience what the Sports Park has to offer.”
Boasting indoor and outdoor facilities the sports park is unique to Essex. Partnered with British Cycling, it features a 1-mile floodlit Cycle Track, BMX Pump Track, and Learn to Ride space for leisure and competitive cycling. Indoor facilities include a multi-use sports centre with a sports hall for badminton, soft play, birthday parties, and more.
Additionally, there's a fitness suite, Velo Studio, state-of-the-art rugby facility, all-weather football pitches, grass pitches, and an archery range. Paddy and Scott’s coffee shop provides the perfect place to relax, work remotely or spend time with the family.
