Colchester Castle’s historic doors open!

Colchester Castle is delighted to announce that it is now open again to visitors. The reopening coincides with the start of the school summer holidays and the Castle team is looking forward to welcoming families back.  
 
Colchester Castle, Europe’s largest Norman Keep, is built on the foundations of the Temple of Claudius, the central focus for Boudica’s revenge on the Romans. Packed full of internationally important objects, the Castle is the perfect place for history-lovers of all ages to explore this summer.  #LoveColchesterCastle #WelcomeBackColchester
