The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) is currently undertaking a review of the survey needs of the department, including the Taking Part survey.
Taking Part is the key evidence source for DCMS and was commissioned primarily to provide a single evidence source on participation in culture and sport. The survey is currently used to measure and inform departmental indicators, inform the development and impact of DCMS policy, and to understand the drivers and barriers of participation in cultural and sporting activities.
