Festive park fun

High Woods Country Park is holding two seasonal events in the coming weeks, including a children’s Woodland Wreath Making event on 20 December and a New Year’s Day Walk, which includes a three-mile ranger-led walk through the park followed by mulled wine and a mince pie.

Councillor Mark Cory, Leader of Colchester Borough Council, said: “High Woods Country Park is a fantastic green space which everyone can enjoy, and these seasonal events are perfect for those wanting to get outdoors, enjoy the environment and get their new year off to a great start.”

Tickets for bookable events can only be purchased through the Visitor Information Centre in Hollytrees Museum, in person at Hollytrees Museum, Castle Park, CO1 1UG or by telephone on 01206 282920, purchases cannot be made at the events.
