Fantastic Fungi this November

Activities in High Woods Country Park this November start with a self-guided Halloween Trail for children on 2-3 November. This will be followed by Fantastic Fungi events on 9 and 23 November where you can take a stroll around the Park with a fungi expert, discovering the fascinating mushrooms and toadstools that grow at this time of year.

Councillor Martin Goss, Portfolio Holder for Waste, Environment and Transportation, said: “Our Parks and countryside sites look stunning at the moment and these organised events are a great way to spend time outdoors and experience the changes in nature which take place at this time of year.”

Tickets for bookable events can only be purchased through the Visitor Information Centre in Hollytrees Museum, in person at Hollytrees Museum, Castle Park, CO1 1UG or by telephone on 01206 282920, purchases cannot be made at the events.
