The sun is out, the kids are off school, and Colchester Borough Council’s Parks and Countryside sites have nine fun, outdoor activities for children and families to enjoy this August – some of which are completely FREE.

Further details of these events, including dates, timings, locations, booking details and costs, can be found at www.colchester.gov.uk/parkevents.

Please note: The Fairies and Pixies Event on 7 August is now fully booked.

Councillor Martin Goss, Portfolio Holder for Waste, Environment and Transportation, said: “We have a fantastic programme of events taking place across our parks and countryside site this summer. As well as several free events where booking isn’t required, we’re also offering bookable events ranging from Bat Evenings to Stream Side Fun.”

Tickets for bookable events can only be purchased through the Visitor Information Centre in Hollytrees Museum, in person at Hollytrees Museum, Castle Park, CO1 1UG or by telephone on 01206 282920, purchases cannot be made at the events.
