Colchester is once again celebrating the benefits of its High Street Charter Market, as part of the national Love Your Local Market campaign 2019 taking place 17 –31 May.
Colchester Market will be joining markets across the country taking part in the Love Your Local Market Campaign, to promote the importance our market plays in the heart of our community – not only for retail but as valuable community asset that provides a focal point.
As part of the campaign, Colchester’s Charter Market is providing a springboard for aspiring entrepreneurs to bring their products or services to the market and gauge the public’s opinion by offering FREE pitches on 17, 18, 24, 25 and 31 May. Businesses new to trading, should email markets@colchester.gov.uk and take advantage of G M Imber & Sons Ltd, Insurance Brokers FREE public liability insurance being offered for new traders on these dates as part of the national campaign.
Councillor Martin Goss, Colchester Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Waste, Environment and Transportation, said: “The Love Your Local Market campaign is a great opportunity to come along to Colchester Market and see the range of bespoke goods and services it provides in the centre of Colchester.
“It’s also a fantastic opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to test their fledgling businesses in the market place with a free pitch and public liability insurance.”
Colchester Market is located on Colchester High Street every Friday and Saturday.
